Waiting On Wednesday

waiting on wednesday

“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine where bloggers can showcase books that we are eagerly waiting for.

Blurb:

There is danger in dreaming. But there is even more danger in waking up.

Blue Sargent has found things. For the first time in her life, she has friends she can trust, a group to which she can belong. The Raven Boys have taken her in as one of their own. Their problems have become hers, and her problems have become theirs.

The trick with found things though, is how easily they can be lost.

Friends can betray.
Mothers can disappear.
Visions can mislead.
Certainties can unravel.

Why I’m Waiting:

Ummmm… maybe because I’m in love with Maggie Steifvater?!?!  I want to read Blue Lily, Lily Blue soooo badly.  I think that I’m even going to preorder a signed copy.  I need to cling to this book while I wait for the upcoming 4th book in 2015.  Why are books spaced out so much?!?!  Oh my heart is already breaking and I don’t even have this book yet.

So yeah, you could say that I’m dying to have it.

For those of you who don’t know, while I’m not a fan of Maggie’s earlier works (I’m looking at you Shiver) I am a fan of her more recent publications, more specifically The Raven Cycle Series.  If you haven’t read the first two books the Raven Boys and The Dream Thieves I’d get on that because they are absolutely beautiful.

I’ve read the first couple books, but have never actually finished the series. I own the entire Percy Jackson and the first Heroes of Olympus. Now that the series is completed I might go for the whole thing in one swoop, possibly this winter?
