Monthly Recap: December 2014

01.04.2015

december 2014

I’m not sure how to describe December for me, it was messy.  I feel like I describe every month lately as messy; life is messy!

Books/Movies/T.V./Music

Books Read:

My True Love Gave to Me: Twelve Holiday Stories Edited by Stephanie Perkins

Vivian Apple at the End of the World by Katie Coyle

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson

The Girl is Murder by Kathryn Miller Haines

Favorite Book This Month:

18189606

T.V.

I finally finished Grey’s Anatomy (at least the seasons that they have on Netflix).  Thank GOD!  I really didn’t like that show, but I was addicted.  Other than that, I mostly watched Criminal Minds and HGTV.  I did sort of start American Horror Story, but I wasn’t really interested in it.

Movies

I watched Dead Poets Society by myself (my parents had already seen it so they fell asleep), and let me just tell you, never watch that movie by yourself.  It was so beautiful-ugh.  I saw Unbroken in theaters with my family earlier this week; it was a amazing.  Other than that, my mom and I are just keeping up with our annual tradition of watching all of the Harry Potter movies; so far we’re through Stone, Chamber, and Prisoner.

Music

Other than holiday music and the playlists in Since You’ve Been Gone I haven’t really listened to a ton of music this month.  Other than Hozier’s “Church”.

December’s Goals:

-My 2014 Goodreads goal is 120 books, so I’m shooting for that.  It’s okay if I don’t get there {I didn’t quite hit my goal, but I was still really proud of what I read this year}

–Work on some poetry {I did this a little}

-Play piano/sing

-Run.  I’ve been avoiding the treadmill at the gym but I’ve got to do it.

-Request some ARCS {Sort of…}

-Tackle my books that I own pile {Technically only The Girl Is Murder is something that I’ve owned, considering that I bought My True Love Gave to Me earlier this month and got Since You’ve Been Gone for Christmas}.

-Schedule and pre write posts/reviews {nope}

-Weasley Sweater

-Enjoy the Holidays

-Give some presents

-Write some letters

January Goals:
